AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING JACOBS DRIVE IN THE
MIDWESTERN PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close and abandon the street
hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby closed and abandoned Jacobs Drive which is adjacent to
the south lot line of Lot 1, Block 21 of Midwestern Park, an addition to the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, being more specifically described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point at the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 21 of
Midwestern Park, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
said point also being at the intersection of the east right-of-way
line of Maplewood Avenue and the north right-of-way line of Jacobs
Drive;
THENCE S 89° 28' E, 300 feet along the south property line of Lot 1,
Block 22 of Midwestern Park and also along the north right-of-way
line of Jacobs Drive to a point for corner at the southeast corner
of said Lot 1, said point also being the intersection of the north
and east right-of-way lines of Jacobs Drive;
THENCE S 00° 32' W,60 feet along the east right-of-way line of Jacobs
Drive to a point for corner at the intersection of the east and south
right-of-way line of Jacobs Drive;
THENCE N 89° 28' W, 300 feet along the south right-of-way line of
Jacobs Drive to a point for corner at the intersection of the south
right-of-way line of Jacobs Drive and the east right-of-way line of
Maplewood Avenue;
THENCE N 00° 32' E, 60 feet along the east right-of-way line of
Maplewood Avenue to the place of beginning.
