AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 3804
TO CHANGE THE DATE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE WEEKS STREET ASSESSMENT PAVING
PROGRAM TO SEPTEMBER 1, 1981 , AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS , on July 7 , 1981, the Board of Aldermen of the
City of Wichita Falls adopted Ordinance No. 3804 , which
approved and adopted estimates of the cost of construction of
improvements and of amounts to be assessed for the Weeks Street
assessment paving program, awarded the contract for construc-
tion of such improvements , and provided that a hearing will
be held before the Board of Aldermen on August 4 , 1981, at
8 : 30 o' clock A.M. in the Council Chambers of the City of
Wichita Falls for all owning or claiming any property abutting
such street, or claiming any interest in any such property;
and,
WHEREAS , it has been determined that such hearing should
be held on September 1 , 1981.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
Section IV of said Ordinance No. 3804 is hereby amended
to provide that such hearing shall be given and held on the
1st day of September, 1981 , at 8 : 30 o'clock A.M. in the
Council Chambers of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. The
City Clerk shall give notice of the time and place of such
hearing as directed in said Ordinance No. 3804 .

The fact that the making and constructing of said
improvement is being delayed pending the taking effect of
this ordinance, and that the condition of such portions of
said street endangers public health and safety, constitutes
an urgent public necessity, requiring that this ordinance
be passed as an emergency measure , and this ordinance is
passed as an emergency measure and shall be in force and
effect immediately from and after its passage.
