ORDINANCE GRANTING AUTHORITY TO FIRST-WICHITA
NATIONAL BANK TO CONSTRUCT AERIAL WALKWAY,
WITH SUPPORTS, OVER AND ON THE ALLEY IN BLOCK
164,ORIGINAL TOWNSITE.
WHEREAS, the First-Wichita National Bank is building a
new parking garage in Block 164 , Original Townsite, and it
desires to construct an aerial walkway, with supports , over
and in the right-of-way of the alley in said Block 164 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. First-Wichita National Bank is hereby granted
the right and authority to construct an aerial walkway •
across the alley in Block 164 , Original Townsite, to
connect its new parking garage with its existing parking
garage; such aerial walkway shall have a clearance above the
alley of at least 23. 58 feet. In addition, said bank may
construct two supporting columns for such walkway, which
columns will be of the size and in the location shown on
the drawing attached, which is made a part hereof.
SECTION 2 . Said Bank shall coordinate such project with
all utility companies whose facilities are located in the
alley right-of-way.
SECTION 3. It shall be the responsiblity of such Bank
at all times to maintain said walkway and supports at its
own expense. If at any time in the future some public use
of such right-of-way makes it necessary that the walkway
and/or supports be relocated or removed, such relocation or

removal shall be done at the sole cost and expense of such
Bank.
SECTION 4. Whenever any work is being done on the
construction or maintenance of said walkway and/or supports,
said Bank shall take all necessary and proper precautions to
protect the public from damages. The Bank shall hold and
save the City of Wichita Falls harmless from all damages or
claim for damages resulting from the construction, maintenance
and location of such walkway and supporting columns.
SECTION 5 . The right and authority hereby granted is for
so long as said walkway is being used and maintained by such
Bank. When such walkway is no longer so used, it and its
supporting columns shall be removed by such Bank at its sole
cost and expense.
