AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
LOCATED BETWEEN LOT 12, BLOCK 5, FLORAL HEIGHTS ADDITION
AND LOTS 1, 2, 3, AND PART OF 4, LILLY ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, AND RESERVING AN UTILITY EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls has recom-
mended that the alley located between Lot 12, Block 5, Floral Heights Addition
and Lots 1, 2, 3, and part of 4, Lilly Addition be closed, vacated, and abandoned
subject to the retention of a utility easement; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the alley
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: That the alley located between Lot 12, Block 5, Floral
Heights Addition and Lots 1, 2, 3, and part of 4, Lilly Addition being more
specifically described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 12, Block 5, Floral
Heights Addition, said point also being on the west right-of-way
of Van Buren Street,
Thence, west one hundred ninety (190) feet along the south lot
line of Lot 12, Block 5, Floral Heights Addition to a point,
said point being the southwest corner of said lot,
Thence, south ten (10) feet, to a point on the north property
line of Lot 4, Lilly Addition,
Thence, east one hundred ninety (190) feet to a point, said point
being the northeast corner of Lot 1, Lilly Addition,
Thence, north ten (10) feet along the west right-of-way of
Van Buren Street to the place of beginning,
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.

SECTION 2: The City of Wichita Falls, Texas reserves an easement in
the land contained in said closed alley for the purpose of laying and maintaining
all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone
and power lines, sanitary and storm sewers, and drainage ditches; no structure
shall be built on such easement.
