ORDINANCE SUSPENDING TILE ENFORCEMENT OF
PARKIN(3 METERS ON SATURDAYS, BEGINNING
NOVEMBER 7, 1981 THROUGH DECEMBER 28, 1981.
WHEREAS, the Downtown Association ha.s requested that the enforcement of
parking meters be suspended in the downtown area on Saturdays, beginning November 7,
1981 through December 28, 1981 in order to permit them to advertise to the public
that parking will be free for downtown shopping on Saturdays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Parking meter enforcement will be suspended on Saturdays,
beginning November 7, 1981 through December 28, 1981.
SECTION 2. This ordinance is declared an emergency measure and shall be
effective upon its passage.
