Ord 3853 12/1/1981 ORDINANCE NO. 3853 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE OF BEER AT THE CHILI COOK-OFF PRECEDING THE PIONEER FOOT- BALL GAME WHEREAS, in 1981 the Pioneer Bowl football game is returning to the City of Wichita Falls; this event, which is sponsored by the Board of Commerce and Industry, brings national recognition to Wichita Falls; and, WHEREAS, during the week preceding the game, a number of events are held which promote interest in the game; one of these events is the annual chili cook-off; and, WHEREAS, the success of this chili cook-off will be enhanced if the sale of beer is allowed, and the Board of Aldermen finds that it will be in the public interest if such sale is allowed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: Notwithstanding the other provisions contained in Ordinance No. 2491, it shall be lawful for the Board of Commerce and Industry and their concessionaire to obtain a Temporary License under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code which shall authorize the holder thereof to sell beer only, for consumption on the premises, in or from any lawful con- tainer to the ultimate consumer, which Temporary License may be issued for December 18 , 1981. Such Temporary License shall be issued at the location of the 4-H Club barn on Midwestern Parkway.
