ORDINANCE WAIVING SEC. 82-58 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO
PERMIT VEHICLES ON THE GRASS DURING AN EVENT BY THE WICHITA
FALLS RC CLUB IN LAKE WICHITA PARK OCTOBER 5, 2002; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Radio Control Club wishes to host a model aircraft
flying event in Lake Wichita Park October 5, 2002, and;
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful they request
permission to drive participant vehicles only on the grass in order to more easily unload
and load their equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Sec. 82-58 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to permit
vehicles of the participants only on the grass during their event in Lake Wichita Park
October 5, 2002.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
