ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $115,000.00 FOR SECURITY
PLANNING GRANT FUNDING RECEIVED FROM THE UNITED STATES
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT ACCEPTING
SAME; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, funding for Security Planning Grants and related security
improvements for large drinking water utilities is available from the United States
Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the funds are intended to provide for a Vulnerability Assessment of
the City of Wichita Falls water system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to accept this funding for the
preparation of the Vulnerability Assessment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund
$115,00.00 for Vulnerability Assessments and related security improvements.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
