ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6800 OF APPENDIX B, ZONING
ORDINANCE, CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING LANDSCAPING
REGULATIONS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Chapter 6800 is intended to improve the appearance of and quality of life
in the City of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission have determined that an
amendment to that chapter is required to fulfill the intent of the regulation; and
WHEREAS, The City Council concurs with the recommendation by the Planning and
Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6810, paragraph 13 shall be amended as follows:
13. All landscaped areas shall be protected with a concrete curb with a minimum
height of six inches or of such a barrier using recognized methods and materials that will
accomplish the intended purpose as approved by the Department of Community
Development. No materials shall be considered which are subject to rot or decay, or will not
afford sufficient long-term protection to protect from vehicular intrusion.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
