ORDINANCE WAIVING SEC. 82-58 AND SEC 82-63 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO ALLOW HOWMET TO DRIVE UPON THE GRASS
AND POST SIGNS DURING THEIR EMPLOYEE PICNIC IN LAKE
WICHITA PARK SEPTEMBER 14, 2002; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Howmet wishes to host an annual employee picnic at the south
shelter in Lake Wichita Park September 14, 2002, and;
WHEREAS, in order for their activity to be more successful they ask for
permission to drive upon the grass to place amusement equipment, and post signs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.. Ordinance Sec 82-58 AND SEC 82-63 of the Code of Ordinances
is hereby waived to allow Howmet to drive upon the grass and post signs during their
employee picnic in Lake Wichita Park September 14, 2002.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
