ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE MUNICIPAL AND
KICKAPOO AIRPORT FUNDS FOR THE CITY'S MATCHING
REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
ENTITLEMENT GRANTS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has received approval of $484,583 in Federal Aviation
Administration Entitlement funding for the Kickapoo Airpark to conduct a Master Plan,
Rates and Charges Study, and Design Fees for Phase One of Airfield Improvements;
and
WHEREAS, the City is required to match these grant funds in the amount of
$53,842; and
WHEREAS, the 2001-02 budget included $20,000 for potential matching funds,
and
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the 2001-02 budget to appropriate the
additional $33,842 in local funds, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to budget available equity funds in the City's two
Airport Funds in equal amounts for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The 2001-02 budgets of the Municipal Airport Fund and the
Kickapoo Airport Fund is hereby increased by $16,921 respectively to provide sufficient
budget authority for the City's matching requirements of Federal Aviation Administration
Grants.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
