RESOLUTION GRANTING WAIVER OF PAYMENT OF RENTAL
FEES TO THE ACTIVITIES CENTER AND GRANTING A
WAIVER OF DANCE HALL LICENSE FEES FOR PURPOSES OF
A YOUTH ACTIVITIES ADVISORY COUNCIL DANCE ON
DECEMBER 15 , 1984 .
WHEREAS, Section 2-174 of the ordinance establishing the
Youth Activities Advisory Council provides that the purpose of the
Youth Activities Advisory Council shall be to develop, promote and
coordinate activities for the youth in Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the Youth Activities Advisory Council is planning a
City-wide dance at the Wichita Falls Activities Center on December
15, 1984 , from 8 :00 p.m. to 12 :15 a.m. ; and,
WHEREAS, the Youth Activities Advisory Council has insufficient
funds from which to pay the rental fee for the Activities Center
and the fee for the dance hall license; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the circumstances involved in
this situation are exceptional, and that a waiver of the Activities
Center rental fee and the dance hall license fee should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT :
The rental fee for the Wichita Falls Activities Center and the
fee for a dance hall license are hereby waived to allow the Youth
Activities Advisory Council to use the premises for a dance for the
high school students of the City.
