Res 214-84 11/6/1984RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH MCCALL, PARKHURST AND
HORTON FOR LEGAL SERVICES PERTAINING TO CYPRESS STREET
WATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION PROJECT BOND SALE.
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a contract with Herbert R.
Smith, Inc. for bond financial advisory service; and,
WHEREAS, said contract requires the City to designate a firm
of recognized municipal bond attorneys which we have or expect to
retain to perform the legal services needed under that contract; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired to enter into a contractual relationship
with the law firm of McCall, Parkhurst and Horton to prepare
proceedings and advise of steps necessary to be taken to issue
securities and issue opinions regarding their legality.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute
a contract with McCall, Parkhurst and Horton for legal services
pertaining to the Cypress Street Water Treatment Plant Expansion
Project bond sale.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 6th day of November, 1984 .
