RESOLUTION NO. O
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS TO INSTALL WATER LINES IN THE
BURKBURNETT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM TO
SUPPORT THE PAINTING OF THE PUCKETT
STREET TOWER
WHEREAS, the City of Burkburnett has agreed to allow the
City of Wichita Falls to use the Burkburnett water tower for pressure
on the North Pressure Plane during the time the Puckett Street Tower
is out of commission for inspection and painting;
WHEREAS, in order to use the Burkburnett Tower, there must
be a connecting line installed in the Burkburnett System;
WHEREAS, the City Manager of Burkburnett has agreed to have
the connecting line installed if the City of Wichita Falls will reimburse
all costs for the line;
WHEREAS, the City of Burkburnett has received bids for
installation of the connecting line; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Wichita Falls has examined
the bids received by the City of Burkburnett and determined that the lowest,
responsible bidder is being used to accomplish the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The expenditure of $6,336.00 for the purpose of installing
a connecting line in the City of Burkburnett to serve the purposes of
the City of Wichita Falls is approved, and the City Manager is authorized
to make such payment.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 4TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1984.
