RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF OLD UNCOLLECTABLE
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE TOTALING $ 96.893.37 FROM AN
ACTIVE TO DORMANT STATUS.
WHEREAS, the Chief Accounting Officer/Director of Finance has recommended
that old accounts receivable which were due before August 31, 1984 be deemed
uncollectable, and that they be removed from the ledger and be transferred to
dormant status.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Chief Accounting Officer/Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
remove from the general ledger the hereinafter set out charges made by the City,
which are now deemed uncollectable, totaling $96,893.37 , to wit:

Although such accounts receivable are placed on dormant status,
reasonable efforts will be made to collect these accounts receivable, either
by the City Attorney or by the City's collection agency.
