RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANTING OF A SPECIAL
RULE 37 PERMIT TO W. A. LOFTON ON HIS CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS WELL NO. 1 IN S .P.R.R. COMPANY
SURVEY NO. 1, A-440 , ARCHER COUNTY, TEXAS , NEAR
LAKE KICKAPOO.
WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Wichita Falls executed an oil
and gas lease to W. A. Lofton, as Lessee, on 250 acres out of the
south part of S .P.R.R. Company Survey No. 1, A-440, Archer County,
Texas, which was that part of the survey south of Lake Kickapoo;
and,
WHEREAS, Lofton is preparing to drill his Well No. 1 on such
lease, and he is seeking a Special Rule 37 Permit from the Texas
Railroad Commission, and he has asked the City of Wichita Falls to
advise the Railroad Commission that it has no objection to the
granting of such permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The granting of such Special Rule 37 Permit to W. A. Lofton by
the Texas Railroad Commission is hereby approved by the City of
Wichita Falls, and the City Manager is authorized to execute for the
City of Wichita Falls that certain letter, a copy of which is attached
hereto. A plat of such lease showing the location of this well is
attached hereto.
