RESOLUTION FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
TEXAS FLUORIDATION PROJECT BY ACQUIRING STATE-FUNDED
EQUIPMENT TO FACILITATE CITY FLUORIDATION OF WATER
WHEREAS, the State of Texas conducts a project entitled "Texas
Fluoridation Project" which provides financial and technical assistance
to enable communities to fluoridate their water systems to prevent dental
diseases;
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is eligible to participate in
the program;
WHEREAS, State authorities indicate the project will support
financing of certain lab equipment and repair of certain feed equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls intends to continue fluoridation
of its water.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to sign the application documents
for participation in the said State program, subject to review of such application
by the City Attorney's Office.
