RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE 1983
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM, PROJECT 83-1.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Zack Burkett
Company entered into a contract dated Janaury 17, 1984,
for the construction of the 1983 Capital Improvements Program,
Project 83-1; and,
WHEREAS, such project has been completed in accordance
with the plans and specifications; and,
WHEREAS, such contract was a unit price contract, and
the estimated cost based on estimated quantities was
216,488.20; however, on the basis of the actual quantities
used in the construction, the total contract price is
202,404.26, of which $191,273.26 has been paid to the
contractor, leaving a balance due of $11,131.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such project is accepted by the City
of Wichita Falls; and the City Manager is authorized and
directed to pay to the contractor the amount due as set out
above.
