RESOLUTION ACCEPTING OWNERSHIP OF HILLCREST
CEMETERY.
WHEREAS, requests have been made that the City of Wichita
Falls take over the ownership and maintenance of Hillcrest Cemetery
on Southwest Parkway, adjoining Rosemont Cemetery; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the cemetery (except for
those lots therein which have been heretofore sold to other parties)
is owned by the widow and four children of W. W. Kerr, deceased.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
When proper deeds have been received from the widow and four
children of W. W. Kerr, and have been approved by the City Attorney,
the City shall accept the ownership to such cemetery, and shall
assume the responsibility of maintenance and operation of such
cemetery.
