ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS 11 & 12, BLOCK 16A, HIGHLAND
ADDITION, AND ADJACENT RIGHT-OF-WAY, FROM SINGLE FAMILY-2
TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning the
property and amending the Land Use Plan to conform to the rezoning; and
WHEREAS, the City council finds that this rezoning request; and amending the
Land Use Plan to conform to the rezoning are in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby amended for Lots 11
& 12, Block 16A, Highland Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas, and adjacent right-of-way.
Said property is shown on the attached map and is incorporated in this ordinance as
Attachment "A". Said land use designation shall be changed from Institutional to
Commercial.
SECTION 2. Said property being the same as described in Section 1, is hereby
zoned General Commercial.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
