RESOLUTION TO FORMALLY ESTABLISH PRICES FOR
RAW WATER TAKEN IN BULK FROM CITY RESERVOIR
AND RAW WATER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City sells raw water in bulk form to a variety of
customers for several uses; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to formally establish a price for
such service.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The following prices shall be charged for raw water taken as
an unmetered product direct from a City reservoir or from a raw water transmission
line:
Water for drilling oil wells = $0.25 per foot of well
drilled based on the total depth (TD) reported to the
Texas Railroad Commission down to a TD of 8000 feet.
For wells deeper than 8000 feet, the cost shall be
calculated on a daily basis as negotiated by the
Director of Public Works/Utilities rather than on
a per-foot basis.
Water for other purposes (per tank truck load):
Large transporter truck = $10.00
Self-contained bobtail truck = $5.00
In the limited instances that unmetered water is to be taken
in a manner not prescribed above, the Director of Public Works shall determine
an appropriate price.
