RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACTS FOR ACQUISITION OF SELECTED IBM
EQUIPMENT AND TO DISPOSE OF EXCESS IBM EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, additional equipment was planned, programmed and
budgeted to support the automated budget system; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids for such additional
equipment and disposal of excess equipment; and
WHEREAS, the International Business Machine (IBM) Corp.
was low bidder on the communication controller and video display
stations; and
WHEREAS, Roselius Computer Corporation was low bidder on the
modems and replacement keyboards; and
WHEREAS, Roselius Computer Corporation was highest bidder on
selected excess equipment; and
WHEREAS, Wichita County was high bidder on selected excess
equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to:
A) Award a procurement contract to IBM, for one (1) IBM
model 3274-C61 communication controller for $5,811.40 and eight
8) IBM model 3178 video display stations for $11,008.00 and an
additional $136.00 for transportation of these items.
B) Award a procurement contract to Roselius Computer
Corporation for two (2) IBM model 3864-001 modems for $6,000.00
and five (5) IBM model 4633 keyboards for $2,000.00 and an
additional $100.00 for transportation of these items.
C) Accept Roselius Computer Corporations bid of
375.00 for:
1-IBM 1403-NI printer 300.00
1-IBM 2821-02 control unit 50.00
5-IBM 66/67 key replacement keyboards 25.00
D) Accept Wichita County's bid of $100.00 for:
2-IBM 029 keypunch machines.
E) Accept Midwestern State University's bid of $100.00
for:
1-IBM 129 keypunch machine .
Passed and approved this 3rd day of April, 1984.
