RESOLUTION NO. 51-f—
AWARD OF BIDS FOR GRAZING LEASES AT
LAKE KICKAPOO
WHEREAS, the City desires to lease the city-owned lands
around Lake Kickapoo for grazing purposes;
WHEREAS, the land consists of a north-side segment of 1332.23
acres and a south-side segment of 1424.39 acres;
WHEREAS, the land has been advertised for bid, said bids
received and opened on March 9, 1984;
WHEREAS, McDaniel-Stone of Archer City, Texas, has submitted
the highest bid of $7.41 per acre ($9,871.82 annually) for the north-side
segment; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Lloyd R. Raff of Lompoc, California, has submitted
the highest bid of $6.05 per acre ($8,617.55 annually) for the south-side
segment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of McDaniel-Stone for the north-side segment is accepted
and the bid of Mr. Lloyd R. Raff for the south-side segment is accepted.
The Council has examined the lease agreement for each segment, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute the agreements with such changes as
the Council has directed.
