RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1984 REPLACEMENT
OF UTILITY SYSTEMS .
WHEREAS, five bids were received for the 1984 Replacement of
Utility Systems; and,
WHEREAS , the bid of Sur-Flo Utilities, of Wichita Falls ,
Texas, is the lowest responsible bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said bid of Sur-Flo Utilities in the amount of $91, 977 .36 is
hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract with Sur-Flo Utilities for the work. Should Sur-Flo fail
to execute the contract, or fail to secure the necessary bonding
required by the contract, within the time provided in the contract
documents, this award is revoked, and the City Manager shall cash
the Sur-Flo bid bond. In that event, the contract shall be awarded
to Opex, Inc. , Olney, Texas, for $96, 478 . 50 for the base bid
93 ,728 . 50) and Alternate 2 ($2,750. 00) .
