ORDINANCE REMOVING ASSESSMENT AND LIENS
FROM THE 1981 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
PAVING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3810 dated August 4, 1981
the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls de-
termined to pave and otherwise improve certain streets;
and,
WHEREAS, the funds to be utilized were for the most
part Community Development funds; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment has recently determined that paving programs using
Community Development funds were not acceptable where
property owners were assessed any portion of the cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The assessments for the improvements on the following
attached portions of streets shall be abandoned and released.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a notice
of this ordinance with the County Clerk of Wichita County,
Texas, for the purpose of releasing the assessment liens
against such properties abutting the portions of streets
set out in said attachment.
