AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING DONNA LANE
FROM LORETTA STREET TO BURKBURNETT HIGHWAY AND
RETAINING A UTILITY EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended the closure of Donna
Lane from Loretta Street to Burkburnett Highway subject to the retention of
a utility easement for the entire portion of the street; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close said portion of Donna
Lane hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The portion of Donna Lane lying west of the west right-
of-way line of Burkburnett Highway and east of the east right-of-way line of
Loretta Street and bounded to the north by Lot 17A, G.1L. Friberg Subdivision,
and to the south by Lots 7 and 19, G.L. Friberg Subdivision is hereby closed
and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas hereby reserves an
easement in the entire said portion of Donna Lane for the purpose of laying
and maintaining all kind and character of utility line including water, gas,
electric, telephone, T.V. cable and power lines, sanitary and storm sewers,
and drainage ditches; no structure shall be built by the landowner on said
easement.
