ORDINANCE WAIVING ORDINANCE NO. 3363 TO ALLOW
POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER IN THE SOUTH
PICNIC SHELTER OF JAYCEE PARK BY THE PARTICIPANTS
IN THE WICHITA FALLS HOBIE CAT FLEET BENEFIT
REGATTA ON JULY 24 AND 25, 1982 .
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Hobie Cat Fleet is hosting a
Benefit Regatta on July 24 and 25 on Lake Wichita, and they have
requested that they be allowed to possess and consume beer at the
south picnic shelter of Jaycee Park on July 24 and 25 ; and,
WHEREAS, the proceeds of the Benefit Regatta will be donated
to the Beacon Lighthouse for the Blind; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find that the circumstances
involved in this situation are exceptional, and that such waiver
should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The requirements of Ordinance No. 3363 are hereby waived to
allow the participants in the Wichita Falls Hobie Cat Fleet Benefit
Regatta to possess and consume beer at the south picnic shelter of
Jaycee Park on July 24 and 25.
