AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR AND
ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
PORTIONS OF AVENUES, STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, DESIGNATED
AS THE 1982 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM STREET
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 82-1, MAKING PROVISION FOR
THE LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS AGAINST ABUTTING PROP-
ERTIES, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
PREPARED BY THE CITY ENGINEER, DIRECTING THE
ADVERTISING FOR BIDS AND PROVIDING SUNDRY OTHER
MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is of the
opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets and public
places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1.
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following portions of
avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas be
improved, to-wit:
• CITY VIEW DRIVE: From the north property line of the
Old Iowa Park Road to the south property
line of the Northwest Freeway.
COVINGTON DRIVE; From the north property line of the Old
Iowa Park Road to the south property line
of the Northside Canal right-of-way.
CRESCENT LANE: From the north property line of the Old
Iowa Park Road to the south property line e
of Nunn/Crescent Lane.
HARRIS LANE: From the north property line of the Old
Iowa Park Road to the north property line
of Lot 1, Block 1-A Park Village Addition
on the east side and the north property
line of Block 2, Harris Addition on the
west side.
NORTHWEST DRIVE: From the east property line of Radio Lane
to the west property line of North Beverly
Drive.

II.
The improvements provided for herein shall be made and constructed,
notice given, hearing held and assessment levied and all proceedings taken
and had in accordance with and under the terms of the powers and provisions
of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the Fortieth Leg-
islature of the State of Texas, as amended, now shown as Article 1105 B of
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, which act has been adopted as an amendment to
and made a part of the Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and under
which law these proceedings are taken and had.
III.
The City Clerk is directed to prepare, sign and file with the County
Clerk of Wichita County, Texas, a notice in accordance with the provisions
of the Act passed at the_Fifth Called Session of the Forty-first Legislature
of the State of Texas, as amended, and shown as Chapter 21 of the Acts of
said Session of the Legislature and now shown as Article 1120 A of Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes.
IV.
The City Engineer has heretofore_prepared plans and specifications
for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions of avenues, streets
and public places, and such plans and specifications are submitted to the Board
of Aldermen for approval and adoption; such plans and specifications be and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications for the
imprpvement of the said streets.
V.
The City Manager is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids for
the making and constructing of said improvements.
VI.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect immediately
from and after its passage.

Notice is hereby given that the governing body of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, has ordered and determined it to be necessary that the following streets
in the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas be improved and that a por-
tion of the cost of such improvement is to be specially assessed as a lien upon
the property abutting thereon, and said portions of streets in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas as follows:
CITY VIEW DRIVE: From the north property line of the
Old Iowa Park Road to the south property
line of the Northwest Freeway.
COVINGTON DRIVE: From the north property line of the Old
Iowa Park Road to the south property line
of the Northside Canal right-of-way.
