ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 4-15, 22-1 AND 22-4
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE SALE
OF BEER FOR SUMMERFEST '82 AT LUCY PARK ON
AUGUST 29, 1982.
WHEREAS, the American Red Cross, KKQV, Popeye's and Golden Distributing
Company are sponsoring Summerfest '82 on August 29, 1982 at Lucy Park in Wichita
Falls, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. , and all net proceeds from this event will be donated .
to the Wichita County Chapter of the American Red Cross; and
WHEREAS , the sponsors of this event have requested permission for beer to
be sold at such event; and,
WHEREAS , the Board of Aldermen find that the circumstances involved in this
situation are exceptional, and that a waiver of Sections 4-15, 22-1 and 22-4 of
the Code of Ordinances should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
The requirements of Sections 4-15, 22-1 and 22-4 of the Code of Ordinances
are hereby waived to allow the sale of beer at such Summerfest '82 at Lucy Park
on August 29, 1982.
