ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 4-15, 22-1 AND 22-4
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE SALE,
POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF BEER IN LUCY PARK
AT THE RED RIVER CHILI CHAMPIONSHIP ON SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 2 , 1982 .
WHEREAS, plans are underway to hold the 11th Annual Red River
Chili Championship on Saturday, October 2 , 1982 in Lucy Park, and
the Board of Commerce and Industry has requested permission for
beer to be sold at such event; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find that the circumstances
involved in this situation are exceptional, and that a waiver of
Sections 4-15, 22-1 and 22-4 of the Code of Ordinances should be
granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
The requirements of Sections 4-15 , 22-1 and 22-4 of the Code
of Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the sale, possession and
consumption of beer at such Red River Chili Championship in Lucy
Park on October 2 , 1982 .
