Ord 082-82 9/7/1982 ORDINANCE NO. OI-1d AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A TWENTY (20) FOOT WIDE, UNPAVED, NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 47-A OF THE HIGHLAND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND RETAINING A UTILITY EASEMENT WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has recommended the closure of a twenty (20) foot wide, unpaved, north-south alley in Block 47-A of the Highland Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the alley hereinafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1: That twenty (20) foot wide, unpaved, north-south alley located in Block 47-A of the Highland Addition lying east of Lots 7 through 10, west of Lots 5 & 6, south of the south right-of-way line of Avenue L and north of the north right-of-way line of Kenesaw Avenue, be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned. SECTION 2: The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves on the entire area described in Section 1, a utility easement for the purposes of laying and maintaining all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone, television cable, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
