ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-6.1 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO INCREASE THE RESIDENCE
HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION OF PERSONS 65 YEARS OF AGE
OR OLDER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The first paragraph of Section 28-6.1 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Upon compliance with all requirements of this section and all other
applicable laws and ordinances, $14,000 of the appraised or market value
of residence homesteads of married or unmarried persons 65 years of age
or older shall be exempt from ad valorem taxes levied by the City. "
