RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH ENGINEERING
CONSULTANT FIRM FOR VARIABLE SPEED MOTOR CONTROL
AT LAKE ARROWHEAD
WHEREAS, an engineering study indicates considerable energy savings
can be accrued by the installation of a variable speed control unit on a motor
at Lake Arrowhead Pump Station;
WHEREAS, the project to install the control unit has been previously
approved by the Council during the budget process for the 1985-86 utilities budget;
WHEREAS, the City desires to engage the services of an Electrical
Engineering Firm to design and supervise the installation of the control unit; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract with Electrical
Manufacturing and Distributors, Inc. (EMD), Wichita Falls, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract with the engineering firm of EMD is hereby
approved in the maximum amount of $16,800.00, which includes the basic services
outlined in the project as well as known additional professional services, and
the City Manager is authorized to execute said contract.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 17TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1985.
