RESOLUTION TC APPROVE FOUR-DIAMOND
SOFTBALL COMPLEX
WHEREAS, the construction of the Holiday Creek Flood Control
Plan requires the relocation of the two softball diamonds at Hamilton Park;
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has long needed a four-
diamond softball complex for the over 5,000 softball players who are involved
in the softball programs and for their many supporters, families and friends;
WHEREAS, the softball tournaments have a significant economic impact
as well as adding to our city's recreational atmosphere;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Fulls will committ $200,000.00 in addition to
relocation monies for the two diamonds being replaced, to build a four-diamond
softball complex in our city.
