RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CONSTRUCTION OF CYPRESS
STORAGE TANKS AND TO AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
TO THE CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Preload
Technology, Inc. , of Garden City, New York, for the construction of a 5 MG
concrete storage tank, two clarifier tanks, and ancillary work;
WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $1 ,385,026.00;
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 reduced the original contract amount by
20,000.00 to a final contract amount of $1 ,365,026.00;
WHEREAS, the work by Preload Technology, Inc. , has been found to be
acceptable by the Design Engineer and the city staff; and,
WHEREAS, the contractor has submitted a request for final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction accomplished under Contract A of the Cypress Street
Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project is hereby accepted, and the City Manager
is authorized to make a final payment of $74,901 .30 to the contractor, Preload
Technology, Inc. , Garden City, New York.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 3RD DAY OF DECEMBER, 1985.
