RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NOTIFY
THE GOLF PROFESSIONAL OF THE CITY 'S INTENT NOT TO
EXERCISE ITS OPTION TO RENEW GOLF PROFESSIONAL 'S
CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has solicited proposals
for the general operation and maintenance of the Weeks Park
Municipal Golf Course; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has selected the firm of Recreation
Development and Management for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, it is essential for the effective operation of
the golf course for one entity to operate and control the entire
facility; and,
WHEREAS, the operation of the course by Recreation Development
and Management will yield substantial financial benefit to the
City and its taxpayers .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls does not intend to exercise its
option to renew the terms of the current golf professional 's
contract for the Weeks Park Municipal Golf Course for the term
beginning March 18 , 1986 . The City Manager is authorized to
notify the current golf professional of this intent . The City
Manager is further authorized to take whatever action is necessary
to expedite the transition of management of the golf course to
Recreation Development and Management .
