RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACT D FOR CYPRESS STREET
WATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is expanding the Cypress Street
Water Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the main contract for installation of the new water treatment
plant has been designed and advertised for bid;
WHEREAS, the bids received were very close and were below the engineer's
estimate of the cost of the work for this contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has determined the lowest responsible bidder to
be Cajun Contractors and Engineers, Dallas, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The work to be accomplished under Contract D is hereby awarded to
Cajun Contractors and Engineers, Dallas, Texas, in the amount of $3,181 ,000.67,
and the City Manager is authorized to execute an appropriate contract.
