RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR PHASE I OF THE
HOLLIDAY CREEK EXCAVATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to improve the Holliday
Creek Channel to the benefit of its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, the first phase of this work, in two areas, has been
engineered and advertised for bid; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder for both portions of Phase I of the
Holliday Creek Excavation Project, referred to as Alternate A and Alternate
B, was the Zack Burkett Company with bids of $883,710.00 and $617,350.00
respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid for Alternate A and Alternate B of Phase I of the Holliday
Creek Excavation Contract be awarded to the Zack Burkett Company for the com-
bined amount of $1,501,060.00, and the City Manager and City Attorney are
hereby authorized to execute an appropriate contract.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 19TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1985.
