RESOLUTION GRANTING A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO SKYLARK VAN SERVICE,
INC. FOR OPERATION OF PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION
SERVICE IN WICHITA FALLS .
WHEREAS, Skylark Van Service, Inc . has filed an application
for a certificate of public convenience and necessity for the
operation of a passenger transportation service in the City of
Wichita Falls, for pre-arranged, charter, contract or special
operations, including limousine service; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the public convenience
and necessity requires the operation of such passenger transporta-
tion service, that such applicant is fit to conduct such business ,
and that the vehicles are fit and safe for the transportation
of passengers .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
A certificate of public convenience and necessity for the
operation of such transportation service with seven (7) vehicles
is hereby issued and granted to Skylark Van Service, Inc. , subject
to the ordinances of the City; provided, however, that because of
the nature of the service, such vehicles will not be required to
be equipped with taximeters .
