RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE STATE OF TEXAS HIGHWAYS
AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION'S OFFER TO
MODIFY THE EXISTING CONTRACT TO FINANCE BARNETT ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has previously entered into a
contract dated October 8, 1985, with the State of Texas State Highway and
Public Transportation Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the bids for this construction exceeded the State's estimate
by approximately 17%; and,
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation
has offered to fund the additional municipal costs based on the bids received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Such offer is hereby accepted and a modification to the contract is
approved.
