RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS
TO LAKE ARROWHEAD EMBANKMENT ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls intends to restore the stone
rip-rap on the embankment of Lake Arrowhead;
WHEREAS, the proposed work is divided into two segments, known as
Contract A and Contract B;
WHEREAS, the Council by Resolution No. 91-85 awarded the contract for
Contract A to Zack Burkett Company, Graham, Texas, in the amount of $351 ,030.00;
WHEREAS, Zack Burkett Company was also the lowest, responsible bid for
Contract B in the amount of $286,765.00; and,
WHEREAS, funds are now available in the 1985-86 Utilities Budget for
this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid for Contract B for the Lake Arrowhead Embankment Rock Slope
Protection Project is hereby awarded to the Zack Burkett Company of Graham, Texas,
in the amount of $286,765.00, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract for this purpose.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 15TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1985.
