RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR THE WEEKS PARK GOLF
COURSE BACK NINE IRRIGATION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Westside Services, Inc.
of Irving, Texas entered into a contract dated August 1, 1985, for the
construction of the Weeks Park Golf Course Back Nine Irrigation System;
and,
WHEREAS, such project has been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications; and,
WHEREAS, such contract was a unit price contract, and the
estimated cost based on estimated quantities was $104,732.58; however,
due to two change orders for extra sprinkler heads around greens and
fairways for $15,252.00 and installation of heads for all greens on the
back nine. The total contract price is $133,048.56 of which $54,543.74
has been paid to the contractor, leaving a balance due of $78,504.82.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such project is accepted by the City of
Wichita Falls, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to pay
to the contractor the amount due as set out above.
