RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR 1985 SLURRY SEAL
AND SCRATCH OVERLAY PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls had advertised for bids
on the 1985 Slurry Seal Project; and,
three bids were received, and it is found that theWHEREAS, ee
bid of CYS Company, Inc., of 9676 Timberleaf, Dallas, Texas 75243, in the
amount of $277,025.12 is the lowest responsible bid; and,
WHEREAS, this company owned and operated by Cyril S. Marek, an
individual, is asking for a waiver of the 70 percent working force, letter
attached.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said bid of CYS Company, Inc., in the amount of $277, 025.12 is
hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with
CYS Company, Inc., for the construction of such Slurry Seal. Further, the
City Manager is authorized to increase the total of the contract by an amount
not to exceed an additional $69,000.
The requirement that 70 percent of the work force by trade be
residents of the Wichita Falls S.M.S.A. is hereby waived.
