RESOLUTION TO APPROVE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
THE CITY OF OLNEY, TEXAS, AND TO APPROVE A
RIGHT-OF-WAY EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF OLNEY,
TEXAS
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the City of Olney entered
into a Water Purchase Contract on January 24, 1984, whereby the City of Olney
will take water from Lake Kickapoo;
WHEREAS, the City of Olney will install an intake structure, raw
water pump system, and raw water transmission line on city land at Lake Kickapoo;
WHEREAS, the Water Purchase Contract requires a lease agreement and
an easement be obtained before construction begins; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the proposed lease agreement and
the proposed right-of-way easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The lease agreement with the City of Olney and the right-of-way
easement to the City of Olney are hereby approved, and the City Manager is
authorized to execute the same for the City of Wichita Falls.
