RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR BARNETT ROAD
UTILITY RELOCATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is cooperating with the State
Highway Department for the widening of Barnett Road from two to four lanes;
WHEREAS, there are certain water and sewer utility lines along and
under the existing Barnett Road which must be adjusted before the widening can
occur;
WHEREAS, the City has identified and performed engineering design
for the necessary adjustments, and has advertised for bids for this work; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the bids received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The firm of Costello Construction Company is hereby awarded the bid
for the Barnett Road Utility Relocation Project, and the City Manager is authorized
to execute a contract with Costello Construction Company in the amount of $142,496.00.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 6TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1985.
