RESOLUTION REVOKING AWARD OF BIDS FOR TROLLEY
BUSES .
WHEREAS, on June 4 , 1985, the City Council considered bids
of three bidders for the sale of two trolley-type buses; and,
WHEREAS, the City accepted the bid of Southwestern Metro
Trans . Corporation for one bus, and the bid of Chance Coach, Inc .
for one bus; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Texas, who is contributing to the
purchase price of the buses, refuses to contribute in this
instance because the lowest bid was not accepted, and the
federal government, who is also contributing to the purchase
price, also refuses to contribute .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Such action of the City Council on June 4 , 1985, accepting
the bids of Southwestern Metro Trans . Corporation and Chance
Coach, Inc . , is hereby revoked, and the City staff is directed
to readvertise for two trolley-type buses .
