RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROVISIONS OF A PROPOSED
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND THE BURLINGTON NORTHERN
RAILROAD COMPANY FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BARNETT
ROAD CROSSING ON BARNETT ROAD AT RAILROAD MILEPOST 6.65
IN WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
THAT:
The provisions of the contract between the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation and the Burlington Northern Railroad Company
for the reconstruction of the railroad crossing on Barnett Road at Railroad
Milepost 6.65 (Highway Station 132+41 ) in Wichita Falls, Texas, is satisfactory
to the City of Wichita Falls.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls desires the State Department of Highways
and Public Transportation to improve Barnett Road and concurs with the contract
designated as D.O.T. No. 276 367 J, and the City Manager of the City of Wichita
Falls is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation for the City's share of such work as provided
by Resolution No. 210-83 previously passed on October 11 , 1983.
