RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
FOR THE 1983-84 CDBG UTILITY REPLACEMENT
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Opex, Inc. ,
of Olney, Texas, to replace certain water utility lines in the CDBG designated
areas of the City;
WHEREAS, the State of Texas has prescribed certain minimum separation
distances between water lines and sanitary sewer lines, and it is not possible
to achieve the prescribed separation distance for a limited segment of this project
without first relocating an existing sanitary sewer line;
WHEREAS, the relocation of the existing sanitary sewer line is not a
part of the contract with the contractor; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the circumstances and the amounts of
a proposed change order to the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 1 to the 1983-34 CDBG Utility Replacement Project
is approved in the amount of $2,322.00, and the City Manager is authorized to
sign said change order.
