RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ESTABLISHMENS OF A BMX
TRACK AT KIWANIS PARK, TO BE PREPARED AND
MAINTAINED BY TOP OF TEXAS PARENTS ' CLUB.
WHEREAS, the Top of Texas Parents ' Club has requested the
establishment of a BMX track at Kiwanis Park, on a parcel
approximately 300 by 350 feet, and such club has stated that they
will do all of the track preparation and maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, the Park Board has endorsed the establishment of
such a track.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT:
Permission is hereby granted for the establishment of a
BMX track at Kiwanis Park, which track will be located in the area
shown on the attached plat . Such track shall be prepared by the
Top of Texas Parents ' Club, at their expense, in accordance with
plans approved by the City Manager. Such club shall also be
responsible for the maintenance of such track. The use of such
track shall be governed by all rules and regulations of the
Parks and Recreation Department and the City of Wichita Falls, and
by all applicable City ordinances and state laws . The use of such
track shall be open to all those who abide by reasonable rules and
regulations established by the City concerning such track . The
Top of Texas Parents ' Club shall furnish liability insurance in
such amounts as will afford reasonable protection to the club and
the City, as determined by the City Manager.
