RESOLUTION NO. 57-85
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND
POLLING PLACES FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is making plans to
implement a new system of electing members to the City Council,
which system will utilize five single-member districts, which
system is making it necessary for the Commissioners Court of
Wichita County, Texas, to establish a number of new voting
precincts, and for the City Council of the City to establish
new municipal voting precincts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The hereinafter set out municipal voting precincts are
hereby established, composed of the county voting precincts as
shown, and using the polling places shown:

Lamar School, McGaha School, Zundelowitz Junior High School
and Barwise Junior High School, which were previously used as
polling places, have been dropped, and Texas Highway Department
Headquarters, Texas Highway Department Warehouse and Carrigan
School have been added. These changes in polling places were
made necessary by the establishment of the single-member districts
and the creation of new voting precincts.
